Cellulaze: A New Treatment for Cellulite in Colorado Springs
Cellulaze is a breakthrough treatment for women who have tried it all: diet, exercise, lotions, massages, and even resulted to buying new clothing to cover up cellulite. A minimally invasive, laser-assisted procedure performed by Dr. Tubbs at Associates of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Colorado Springs, Cellulaze is a new anti-cellulite treatment clinically proven to increase your skin’s natural thickness for a smoother, healthier look that lasts. All from just one simple anti-cellulite treatment.
The procedure was recently selected as a 2017 Beauty Choice Award Product Winner from NewBeauty, referred to as “The Fat-Blasting Laser Treatment”.
What causes cellulite to form?
Believe it or not, the main culprit of cellulite is actually caused by other factors outside of your control. It’s usually assumed that it’s a diet and exercise problem, when really it’s simply a structural problem below the skin caused by aging, hormones, genetics and dramatic weight changes. While you can’t control these problems, you can control how you treat cellulite.
Fat cells in the subcutaneous layer of your skin are arranged in chambers surrounded by bands of connective tissue called septae. As the volume of fat cells increases, the surrounding septae contract and harden, leaving them unable to hold cells within their natural parameters. This causes the fat cells to push up against the skin surface, resulting in a dimpled skin appearance, also referred to as the lump ‘cottage-cheese’ effect. The thinner the skin, the more prominent the effect may be.
How does Cellulaze Work?
Many cellulite treatments attempt to fix the problem superficially by targeting it above the skin. We realize the cellulite must be targeted beneath the skin by treating the fibrous bands and also thickening and adding elasticity to the skin. Cellulaze allows us to do just that.
In just a 1.5 hour procedure, we are able to directly target the fibrous bands that are behind the dimpled appearance on the troubled area of skin. You physician will first mark the areas of cellulite that you want treated followed by a couple tiny incisions (about the size of a the tip of a pen). A local anesthesia or numbing solution is used to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.
Once the incisions have been made, the Cellulaze laser fiber is threaded through a very small tube and inserted through the incision site. By using the SideLaze3D™ Cellulaze laser fiber, you physician will be able to smooth out bumps of fat, releasing the fibrous bands that pull down the skin and cause the dimple effect. Your physician will also stimulate collagen production to increase your skins elasticity and thickness.
What can I expect after the procedure?
After the Cellulaze treatment, you may experience small amounts of bruising and discomfort. Because small amounts of fluid may leak from the incision sites your doctor may recommend a compression garment. You’ll be able to go back to your normal activities after a day or two and resume more strenuous exercise after one to two weeks.
Cellulaze is safe and effective and has been shown to improve appearance of cellulite with very few side effects. During the next three to twelve months following the procedure, you will continue to see improvements in the skin treated. According to Cellulaze.com, 93% of patients surveyed were satisfied or very satisfied with their results one year post-procedure, and all would recommend the treatment to a friend. In the same study, Cellulaze was also shown to increase skin thickness by 25%, and skin elasticity by 29% after 1 year.
